Working backwards

The subject of today's Remake Monday was first posted on 30 January 2016.
That post also included the following text-only scene:

PATRON: Excuse me, librarian? Could you help me find some books?
LIBRARIAN: Of course. What are you looking for?
PATRON: Where do you keep the books that are right about things?
LIBRARIAN: I'm not sure I understand you.
PATRON: This stack of books, here? They're wrong about stuff. I just pulled them off the normal shelves. They all get it wrong. So what I want to know is, where are the books that aren't wrong?
PATRON: [leans in close over the counter and whispers] Look, I get it if you're not supposed to tell normal people. But I figured it out, right? I won't tell anyone. I swear. Just...please, let me into whatever back room has all the books that agree with me.

Wizards in the desert

The subject of today's Remake Monday was first posted on 20 January 2013. It was not the daily comic on that day, but rather an un-illustrated piece of extremely short fiction.

Extreme intervention

This one is getting posted a little later in the day than I usually aim for due to computer trouble.
I'm hoping to have figured out a solution by tomorrow.
